A client payment path
Offer supported Stripe payment collection from a Kato invoice without requiring the account team to build a separate checkout or manually reconcile every client conversation.
What you can do
Connect your Stripe account with Stripe Connect so Kato can create and send invoices to your clients. Payments go straight to your Stripe account — Kato never holds funds. Workspace seat billing stays on Polar and is separate from Connect.

Review payment status beside the invoice, client record, and delivery work so teammates can respond with the context behind the amount and engagement.
Stripe handles payment infrastructure
Keep payment processing and the connected Stripe account with Stripe while Kato manages the operational invoice and the workflow around it.
Connect Stripe
Authorize Stripe Connect from Settings → Integrations → Stripe. Kato creates hosted invoices on your connected account and emails clients a Stripe payment link. Webhooks keep invoice status in sync (paid, failed, void). Retainers use Kato’s scheduler to create periodic invoices the same way.

Common questions
Does Kato store client card details?
Payment details are handled through the connected payment provider's supported flow. Kato coordinates the invoice and records the resulting billing status needed by the workspace.
Is Stripe required to use Kato invoices?
No. Invoices is a native Kato app. Stripe is optional for workspaces that want to offer its supported hosted payment collection to clients.
Can Stripe and QuickBooks both be connected?
Yes. They serve different roles: Stripe can support payment collection, while QuickBooks can receive the accounting record for invoices and payments.
